Position: General Manager

Location: Calgary, AB.

Start Date: Immediately

Compensation:

  • Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 Annually

The General Manager’s duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets and KPIs.

  • Resident/Guest Relations: Ensure that services provided meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Improve service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, compliance standards, and financial performance.

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, coach, mentor, and manage the facility staff.

  • Budgeting and Financial: Develop site budgets, monitor revenue and expenses, and analyze reports for senior management.

  • Marketing: Lead marketing campaigns to achieve sales and revenue targets.

  • Legal Compliance: Ensure health & safety standards are followed and work with governing bodies to ensure contractual compliance.

  • Operational: Ensure the hotel runs efficiently and effectively.

  • Assist in creating and achieving realistic and attainable operational goals and profitability objectives.

  • Coordinate capital improvement projects to maintain or upgrade quality standards, protect property image, and safeguard assets.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of the property through planned preventive maintenance programs for rooms & equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality, Sales, or a related field.

  • Seven (7) years of experience in a Hotel, Sales, or the Hospitality industry.

  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Supervisor or Manager in a relevant industry.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent organizational skills to plan, organize, and direct operations.

  • Ability to multi-task and remain focused under pressure.

  • A highly inclusive, engaging leader who inspires and connects with employees.

  • Creative and innovative thinker.

  • Knowledge of financial management techniques and practices.

  • Customer-service oriented, with empathy and understanding of customer needs.

  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.

  • Conflict resolution expertise.

  • Willingness to work under pressure and remain calm during high-intensity periods.

  • On-call availability.
