Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Head office. New Westminster BC

Start Date: Immediately

 

Compensation: 

  • Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Annually

Your Day to Day: 

  • Lead the strategic launch and expansion of healthcare-related business units, such as senior care facilities, clinics, or pharmacies.
  • Set and monitor growth benchmarks aligned with organizational goals, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Analyze industry trends to identify market opportunities and evolving service needs in the healthcare sector.
  • Develop and manage business plans, revenue forecasts, and financial performance targets.
  • Implement and refine standard operating procedures to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality operations.
  • Identify and execute value-creation initiatives, including new ventures, partnerships, and service line expansion.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, due diligence, and strategic planning for new healthcare projects or acquisitions.
  • Support capital planning, including financing strategies and budget alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, overseeing audits, licensing, and all necessary documentation.
  • Monitor risk factors, including policy changes and industry developments, to safeguard business continuity.
  • Optimize profitability by enhancing service delivery, operational efficiency, and occupancy or sales performance.
  • Manage procurement and vendor relations to ensure cost-effective, high-quality goods and services.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across healthcare operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business strategy with clinical and operational execution.
  • Actively participate in organizational strategic planning and leadership initiatives.


What you Bring to the Table:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare, senior living, pharmacy, or similar regulated health-related environment.
  • Proven track record of leading business growth or launching new service lines in the health sector.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, funding models, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments.

 

Nice to have:

  • Strong understanding of health care financials and budgeting.
  • High level of professionalism, empathy, and stakeholder engagement.
