Position: Unregulated Care Provider (UCP)
Location: 15055 Yonge St, Aurora, ON L4G 6T4
Compensation: $19.80/hr 
Job Type: Part-time | Onsite


 

Your Day to Day:

As a Unregulated Care Provider (UCP), you will provide compassionate care and support to residents while promoting their dignity, comfort, and independence.

Resident Care & Support:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, mobility, and toileting.
  • Provide emotional support and encourage participation in activities and community life.
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ health, behaviour, or needs.

Medication & Team Support:

  • Administer medications as delegated (for certified UCPs).
  • Support the nursing team and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Complete required documentation and resident care records.

Safety & Quality Care:

  • Follow infection control, safety procedures, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

 

What You Bring to the Table:

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or equivalent.
  • CPR Level C/HCP certification.
  • Medication administration certification is an asset and required for delegated medication duties.
  • Successful criminal background check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Up-to-date immunizations as required.

Experience & Skills:

  • 1–2 years of experience in long-term care, retirement living, hospital, or community care preferred.
  • Compassionate and patient with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a healthcare team and provide resident-focused care.
