Position: Education Assistant Instructor
Reports to: Campus Director
Job Status: Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: CDI College Calgary North, #230 13401 108 Avenue, Calgary, AB
Pay: $27 – $29 per hour
Start Date: November 17, 2025

Your Day-to-Day:

As an Education Assistant Instructor, you will:

  • Engage professionally with students, staff, and instructors.

  • Deliver curriculum-based instruction effectively.

  • Prepare lesson plans and employ diverse teaching methods.

  • Monitor and discuss student progress individually and in groups.

  • Participate in curriculum development and evaluation.

  • Maintain compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

  • Attend meetings, evaluations, and orientation sessions as required.

  • Submit attendance, records, and final grades promptly.

  • Update and maintain course materials.

  • Arrange make-up sessions for missed classes.

  • Stay current with industry knowledge and professional development.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Degree or diploma from a recognized institution.

  • Three or more years of experience in a related field.

  • Minimum of one year of instructional experience or a certificate in adult learning.

Nice to Have:

  • Relevant industry skills and knowledge related to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development.

  • Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches.

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.

  • High standards of behavior, professional attitude, and commitment to quality service.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff.

  • Ability to respond appropriately to the needs, feelings, and capabilities of students, providing feedback and treating students equitably.

  • Comfort with technology to enhance the student learning experience.
