Compensation: 42,000-44,000 CAD/year

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Expected Start Date: April 27, 2026

Shift timings: 1 pm to 9 pm MST, Saturdays (day time shift).

 

Purpose of the Role

Acts as a liaison between Admissions and Student Finance, supporting students in securing and managing funding for their education while ensuring compliance with government regulations and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Student Support

  • Conduct financial interviews to assess students’ income, expenses, and funding needs.
  • Develop customized payment plans (loans, scholarships, personal funds).
  • Provide financial counseling to help students make informed decisions.

2. Financial Aid Guidance

  • Explain student loan processes, eligibility, and deadlines.
  • Advise on financial aid options and obligations.
  • Support students with applications, inquiries, and funding-related issues.

3. Application & Process Management

  • Manage and track financial aid applications and required documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of applications.
  • Assist with loan appeals and document processing.

4. Compliance & Policy Adherence

  • Ensure adherence to provincial/federal regulations and institutional policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of financial aid programs and procedures.
  • Support default management and minimize bad debt.

5. Administrative & Student Experience Support

  • Maintain confidential student records.
  • Participate in orientations and exit interviews.
  • Collaborate with campus staff to enhance student experience.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Business or related field.
  • 1+ year experience in customer service, sales, or financial services.
  • Knowledge of student financial aid programs (preferred).
