Position Title: Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Instructor
Job Status: Part-Time
Location: Remote & In-Person (Edmonton– some sessions held onsite)
Schedule: 2 Weekday Evenings (5:30 PM – 9:00 PM) & Saturdays
Pay: 25-30


About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Early Learning and Child Care Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction in our ELCC program. The ideal candidate is an experienced Early Childhood Educator who is confident in leading adult learners, understands current best practices in child care, and is familiar with the BC Early Learning Framework.

The course is delivered primarily online, with some occasional in-person sessions. The current schedule is fixed and not negotiable, but additional hours may be available in the future and can be discussed during the interview process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, interactive instruction aligned with ELCC curriculum standards

  • Foster a respectful and inclusive learning environment for adult learners

  • Support students' understanding of child development, play-based learning, safety, inclusion, and the BC Early Learning Framework

  • Provide clear feedback and guidance on student assignments and assessments

  • Ensure content is accessible and aligns with current industry and licensing expectations

  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed


Requirements

  • Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification in British Columbia

  • Experience in adult education or training is an asset

  • Strong understanding of play-based learning and the BC Early Learning Framework

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills

  • Comfortable with online teaching tools and technology

  • Availability during scheduled hours (evenings and Saturdays)
