Position: Student Services Coordinator
Reports to: Associate Campus Director
Job Status: Full time (On-site)
Start Date: Immediately.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9 am - 5:30 pm
Location: 176 Mayfield Common Edmonton, AB T5P 4B3
Salary: $42,000 - $45,000 Annually
Your Day to Day:
Specifically, the Student Services Coordinator will be responsible for:
Contributing to and monitoring the quality of the student academic experience by:
- Developing and supporting programs for students with academic, social, and personal issues that assist them in continuing, re-entering, and completing their academic programs (e.g., peer tutoring, orientation, and financial advising).
- Providing general guidance to students at risk of breaching school attendance and grade policies.
- Maintaining and updating student activity and grade boards.
- Supporting the college’s retention plan to enhance student success.
- Informing students about college policies and processes related to course registration, repeats, credit transfers, academic probation, and withdrawals.
- Promptly responding to and resolving student inquiries, complaints, and concerns.
Supporting the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience by:
- Assisting campus staff and instructors with day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Collecting and maintaining accurate student records, including grades, attendance, and communications.
- Keeping policies, procedures, and filing systems up to date and performing data entry.
- Maintaining an updated list of external agencies for counseling and support referrals.
- Ensuring deadlines are met by following up on tasks and requests.
- Scheduling instructors and coordinating classrooms, equipment, and supplies.
Upholding the College standards by:

- Meeting internal and external educational quality standards.
- Exhibiting strong interpersonal skills in interactions with staff and students.
Performing other related duties such as:
- Providing reception relief.
- Participating in campus events like orientations, education fairs, and community engagements.
Education and Experience:
- Degree or diploma in a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Basic training in office practices.
- 1-3 years of office experience in a service-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Nice To Have:
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Keyboarding speed of 40 wpm with accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic troubleshooting of minor computer issues.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with office equipment (fax, photocopy machines).
- Experience with multi-line telephone systems.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good judgment and prioritization skills.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Knowledge of the provincial Student Assistance Program.
- Understanding of the organization’s programs and services.
- Professional attitude and commitment to quality service.
