Job Summary:
The Instructor is responsible for delivering quality instruction, supporting student success, and contributing to curriculum development in alignment with the institution’s goals.

 

 

Position Job Title: Addictions and Community Services Worker (ACSW) Instructor

Location: CDI Winnipeg

Reports To: Education Manager

Job Status: Part-time   

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Compensation: $22–$25 per hour 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction aligned with curriculum outcomes

  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials using diverse methods

  • Provide guidance, feedback, and progress updates to students

  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance and grades

  • Support curriculum development and updates

  • Attend staff meetings and orientation sessions as required

  • Uphold institutional policies and professional standards

  • Participate in evaluations and continuous improvement efforts

  • Ensure online course materials are current and complete

  • Coordinate make-up sessions when needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree, diploma, or certification in a relevant field

  • Minimum five years of professional (non-teaching) experience in counseling

  • Instructional experience and relevant teaching certifications

  • Completion of courses such as Train the Trainer, ASIST, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

  • Canadian Addiction Counselors Certification (preferred)

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to student success and ongoing professional development
