Job Summary:
The Instructor is responsible for delivering quality instruction, supporting student success, and contributing to curriculum development in alignment with the institution’s goals.
Position Job Title: Addictions and Community Services Worker (ACSW) Instructor
Location: CDI Winnipeg
Reports To: Education Manager
Job Status: Part-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Compensation: $22–$25 per hour
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging instruction aligned with curriculum outcomes

Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials using diverse methods

Provide guidance, feedback, and progress updates to students

Maintain accurate records, including attendance and grades

Support curriculum development and updates

Attend staff meetings and orientation sessions as required

Uphold institutional policies and professional standards

Participate in evaluations and continuous improvement efforts

Ensure online course materials are current and complete

Coordinate make-up sessions when needed
Qualifications:
-
Degree, diploma, or certification in a relevant field

Minimum five years of professional (non-teaching) experience in counseling

Instructional experience and relevant teaching certifications

Completion of courses such as Train the Trainer, ASIST, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

Canadian Addiction Counselors Certification (preferred)

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Commitment to student success and ongoing professional development
