Job Description: Student Financial Planner
Location: CDI College – Calgary South
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $42,000 – $44,000 CAD/year
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Role Overview
As a Student Financial Planner at our Calgary South campus, you will serve as a vital liaison between the Admissions and Student Finance departments. You will provide personalized guidance to students as they navigate the funding process, ensuring they have the support required to focus on their education while maintaining strict adherence to government regulations and institutional policies.

Tuesday – Friday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM MST

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST

Sunday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM MST

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning: Conduct comprehensive interviews to assess student financial needs and develop sustainable payment plans, including scholarships, personal funding, and student loans.

Advisory Services: Act as a primary point of contact for financial aid inquiries, clarifying eligibility requirements, application deadlines, and long-term repayment obligations.

Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of financial aid applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.

Compliance: Maintain in-depth knowledge of provincial and federal student aid regulations to ensure institutional compliance and assist in minimizing default rates.

Administrative Support: Maintain secure, confidential student records and participate in campus events, including student orientations and exit interviews.
Qualifications

Education: Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 1+ years of professional experience in customer service, sales, or financial services.

Preferred: Prior knowledge of provincial/federal student financial aid programs.

Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a high degree of empathy and professionalism.

Technical Proficiency: Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
