Position Summary

The Education Assistant Instructor is responsible for delivering quality instruction in accordance with the approved curriculum and supporting student success in a professional learning environment.

 

Location: CDI Winnipeg
Employment Status
: Part-time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 20 hours per week)
Start Date: July 2026
Hourly Rate:
$24 – $28 per hour 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver course instruction according to program and curriculum objectives.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities.
  • Explain course outlines, expectations, and evaluation methods to students.
  • Monitor and discuss student progress individually and in groups.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
  • Submit final grades and required documentation within established deadlines.
  • Update and provide course materials to the Campus Director as required.
  • Participate in curriculum development and teaching evaluations when needed.
  • Attend instructor meetings and orientation sessions as required.
  • Maintain professionalism, integrity, and respect toward students and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with administration and academic staff to support student success.
  • Stay current with industry trends, teaching methods, and professional development.
  • Follow all College policies, procedures, and academic standards.
  • Arrange make-up classes for missed instructional hours when necessary.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Previous teaching or instructional experience is considered an asset.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
