Your Role in a Snapshot:

The Financial Consultant supports Yardi implementation, optimization, and ongoing operational accounting across a multi-entity portfolio within senior living and property management. This contract role focuses on hands-on system configuration, accounting support, process improvement, and financial reporting within Yardi Voyager. Working closely with finance leadership and operational teams, the consultant ensures accurate financial data, efficient workflows, strong internal controls, and effective system utilization across all entities. The ideal candidate brings deep Yardi Voyager expertise, strong property management accounting experience, and a practical, solution-oriented approach to improving financial systems and processes.


Your Day to Day:

  • Support Yardi implementation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Assist with system setup, data validation, and workflow improvements within Yardi Voyager
  • Support day-to-day Yardi operations including GL, AP, AR, and financial reporting functions
  • Coordinate with Yardi support and internal stakeholders to resolve system or process issues
  • Oversee intercompany transactions, payroll allocations, and multi-entity reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, working papers, and management reports
  • Support year-end audit activities and liaise with auditors, accountants, banks, and tax advisors
  • Review and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and reporting effectiveness
  • Develop documentation and provide guidance or training on Yardi workflows and accounting procedures
  • Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc financial reporting requests

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience in property management, real estate, senior living, or related industries
  • Strong hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager, including implementation and operational support
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting environments and property accounting operations
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, AP/AR, reconciliations, and intercompany processes
  • Experience supporting system implementation, conversion, or optimization projects (Yardi preferred)
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA considered an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset

  • Experience leading Yardi implementation projects in multi-entity organizations
  • Strong process improvement or operational efficiency background
