Compensation: $76,000 – $120,000

Your Role in a Snapshot:

The Accounting Manager oversees financial reporting, operational accounting, and accounting team performance across Prima Living’s portfolio of senior living communities. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing month-end and year-end processes, supporting audits and lender reporting, strengthening internal controls, and partnering with operational leaders to support financial performance and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on and detail-oriented accounting professional with strong leadership skills, multi-entity accounting experience, and expertise in Yardi Voyager within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.


Your Day to Day:

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across multiple residences and entities
  • Review and approve financial statements, reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules
  • Coordinate year-end audits, audit working papers, and external auditor requests
  • Prepare consolidated financial reporting packages for leadership, ownership groups, and lenders
  • Ensure lender reporting, covenant compliance, and reporting deadlines are completed accurately and on time
  • Monitor occupancy trends, labor costs, resident revenue, and operational performance across residences
  • Oversee operational accounting functions including resident billing, move-in/move-out adjustments, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll allocations, cash management, intercompany transactions, and management fee allocations
  • Partner closely with Executive Directors, General Managers, and operations leaders regarding budgets, financial performance, and operational issues
  • Lead, mentor, and support the accounting team while ensuring accuracy, accountability, and timely reporting
  • Oversee Yardi Voyager accounting operations, reporting workflows, troubleshooting, and process improvements
  • Support internal controls, workflow optimization, operational efficiencies, and system enhancements
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and external stakeholders as required
  • Identify financial or operational risks and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, lender requirements, and regulatory standards

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Experience in senior living, retirement residence, healthcare, property management, or multi-entity accounting environments
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, multi-entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations, month-end and year-end close processes, audit coordination, and lender reporting
  • Strong hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager
  • Experience managing accounting teams and reviewing financial reporting packages
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
