Compensation: $45,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Ongoing
Expected Start Date: August 2025 (or sooner)
Location: Scarborough and North York campuses, with potential assignments at other campuses.
Note: Travel between campuses will be required with prior notice.
Your Role in Action:
Specifically, the Onsite Technical Support will be responsible for:
· Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting the campus IT infrastructure including, but not limited to, servers, internet, computers and peripherals, printers and software such as:
- Performing regular maintenance and security and quality controls to minimize downtime.
- Diagnosing and repairing problems promptly.
- Ensure network integrity through robust physical and electronic security.
- Assuring the software, cabling and electrical systems meet company standards.
- Creating a backup system to assure the viability of the operation and all the student data.
· Providing high level technical support for both institution hardware and software to ensure campus runs smoothly by:
- Setting up all systems and accounts for new hires.
- Installing all software and ensuring valid software licenses.
- Assisting with hardware setup and advising the Campus Director on campus needs.
- Addressing staff, faculty, and student computer requests promptly.
- Training new instructors on the campus network and related issues.
- Providing problem solving services to all network users
· Supporting the day-to-day operation of the company head office by:
- Maintaining an inventory of the hardware and software for the company and insurance purposes.
- Coordinating with the IT department in managing corporate systems.
- Ensuring system availability, data integrity, and timely upgrades.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A post-secondary degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of Windows Operating systems.
- Familiarity with reports such as cost-benefit analysis
- Experience in supporting desktop applications, servers and AV equipment.
Bonus Points For:
- Certified Network Engineer (CNE) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) designation would be an asset.
