Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled SAP Payroll Implementation Consultant to support the implementation, testing, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of payroll systems within our organization. This role is ideal for an individual with experience in SAP SuccessFactors, payroll systems, and implementation support who thrives in fast-paced project environments and enjoys solving complex system and process challenges.
The consultant will play a key role in payroll system implementations, configuration support, testing coordination, data validation, issue resolution, and stakeholder collaboration. You will work closely with Payroll, HR, IT, Operations, and external vendors to ensure successful payroll system deployment and ongoing operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll System Implementation & Project Support

Support the implementation and configuration of SAP SuccessFactors Payroll and related payroll systems.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to gather business requirements and translate them into system solutions.

Participate in implementation planning, project meetings, timelines, and deployment activities.

Assist in payroll parallel testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation validation.

Identify and troubleshoot system defects, configuration issues, and process gaps, escalating as necessary.
2. System Testing & Validation

Develop and execute detailed test scripts for payroll processes, integrations, and system enhancements.

Validate payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, taxes, and employee data accuracy.

Document testing outcomes, deficiencies, and corrective actions clearly.

Support end-to-end testing during system upgrades, patches, and process changes.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze payroll and HR data to ensure system integrity, accuracy, and compliance.

Support data migration, cleansing, and validation activities during implementation phases.

Prepare reports and dashboards to support project tracking, payroll reconciliation, and operational decision-making.

Investigate discrepancies and provide data-driven recommendations for resolution.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Support

Act as a liaison between Payroll, HR, IT, Operations, and implementation partners.

Provide functional support and guidance to end users during implementation and stabilization periods.

Develop training materials, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Support change management initiatives related to payroll transformation projects.
5. Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline payroll workflows and improve system functionality.

Recommend enhancements to payroll processes, reporting capabilities, and system integrations.

Contribute to long-term payroll optimization and automation initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
-
2–5 years of experience working with SAP SuccessFactors (strongly preferred).

Experience participating in HRIS, payroll, or ERP implementation projects.

Deep knowledge of payroll processes, data structures, and compliance requirements.

Proven experience with system testing, UAT coordination, and data validation.

Education: Post-secondary degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.

Certification: PCP designation or payroll-related certification is considered a significant asset.
