Position Overview: 

 

Primacorp Ventures Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paralegal to join our legal team at the head office in New Westminster. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Chairman and CEO and contribute to a wide range of commercial and real estate deals. The Senior Paralegal will play a key role in ensuring legal processes are streamlined, and documentation is managed efficiently.

Location: New Westminster, BC, Canada

Hours: Full time, with flexibility in specific daily hours based on business needs

Compensation:

  • Annual salary: $100,000 - $125.000

What will you do?

 

As the Senior Paralegal, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Deal Management: Oversee and manage commercial and real estate and other business contracts, from initiation to closure, collaborating closely with other stakeholders.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws. Formal responses to government and regulatory bodies
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence for transactions, including research, document analysis, and information gathering.
  • Legal Support: Provide comprehensive support to executive leadership in various aspects of their work, including legal research, document preparation, and case analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient legal processes. Review and respond to correspondence
  • Compliance: Ensure that all legal processes and documentation adhere to relevant laws and regulations, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements.

Qualifications:

 

Education:

  • A recognized Paralegal certification from an accredited institution and in-house training from a law firm or other legal establishment 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on commercial and real estate transactions. Experience in labour law and/or government regulation would be a strong asset

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of commercial and real estate law, with a proven track record of supporting legal professionals in these areas. Aptitude in Microsoft Office
  • Solid understanding of BC land title registration requirements
