Social Media Specialist
Department: Marketing
Location: Primacorp Head Office – New Westminster, BC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000 per year
Job Summary
The Social Media Specialist plans, develops, and executes social media and digital content strategies to support marketing objectives, brand awareness, and lead generation. The role ensures all content is on-brand, engaging, accessible, and optimized to drive awareness, engagement, and qualified inquiries across multiple audiences and brands.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute always-on and campaign-based social media strategies

Create written, visual, and video content for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube

Maintain and manage a social media content calendar aligned with marketing initiatives

Monitor engagement, comments, messages, reviews, and online conversations

Manage community interactions and escalate issues as required

Ensure brand consistency across all social and digital content

Collaborate with marketing, web, SEO, and digital teams

Support paid social media campaigns (creative input, tracking, reporting)

Track KPIs and prepare performance reports with optimization recommendations

Ensure compliance with brand, privacy, consent, and accessibility standards
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience

3–5 years of experience managing social media for a brand or organization
-
Minimum 2 years of professional copywriting or editing experience

Experience managing major social platforms and analytics tools

Experience with social media scheduling tools
Preferred Qualifications

Paid social media advertising experience

Experience with email marketing, blogging, or SEO

Familiarity with CMS platforms and Google Analytics
