Position: Payroll Coordinator

Reporting to: HR People Operations Manager

Location: Primacorp Head office, 960 Quayside Dr, New Westminster, BC V3M 6G2

Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000 

Work type: In-office, Full-time, Monday-Friday

 

Your Role in Action

 

The Payroll Coordinator supports the business through providing accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting for all Primacorp entities.  This role will take responsibility for:
 

· Process payroll payments accurately while meeting strict deadlines

· Ensure accurate and timely data entry in accordance with the provisions of company policies and procedures, approved pay plans, and contractual agreements
· Administer and interpret provincial and federal payroll regulations

· Answer questions and inquiries pertaining to the payroll regulations and the company’s policies and procedures for payroll

· Process online ROEs
· Prepare and calculate pay adjustments such as manual cheques, retro and other special payments and garnishment deductions

· Assist with payroll cost and G/L entries

· Prepare, review and reconcile payroll related reports, including journal entries and garnishes
· Assist with special payroll related projects such as yearend balancing of T4s and Releve 1 statements

· Serve as the backup for the Benefits Coordinator and the Payroll and Benefits Manager as required

 

What You Will Bring to the Table

 

· Minimum 3 years experience in payroll processing
· Coursework with the Canadian Payroll Association

· Experience with end-to-end payroll processing

· Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations

· Ability to complete work in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail.
· Ability to act with tact, good judgment, and discretion; and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of files, personal information, and other matters, as appropriate.


Bonus Points for:
· Experience using Success Factors payroll software a strong asset.
· Multi-provincial payroll experience and Quebec payroll considered an asset.
