Position: General Practitioner/ Family Doctor (FT, PT, Casual)

Location: 102- 245 E Columbia Street, New Westminister 

 

What We Offer:

  • A dynamic medical team located right in front of Royal Columbia Hospital. Our clinic offers a supportive, collaborative environment with 4 clinic rooms, a kitchen, and an adjoining pharmacy. You'll work closely with pharmacists, LPNs, and experienced MOAs to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Located within the Keary Medical Centre, our clinic benefits from proximity to established specialists such as cardiologists, endocrinologists, and general surgeons. This setting also provides academic research opportunities for those interested in advancing their careers.
  • EMR System: Oscar Pro
  • Payment Split: 85% to the doctor, 15% to the clinic. We offer payment options including LFP (Longitudinal Family Physician) or Fee-for-Service.
  • Whether you're an individual GP or a group of GPs looking to join a thriving clinic, or a hospitalist transitioning to part-time community practice, this opportunity offers a strong infrastructure and a collaborative work environment.

Your Day to Day:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population.
  • Diagnose and treat both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Conduct routine check-ups, preventative care, and screenings.
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists, LPNs, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records using the Oscar Pro EMR system.

 

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and licensed to practice in British Columbia.
  • Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) or equivalent.
  • Membership with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-focused care.
  • (Preferred) Experience in community practice, managing complex cases, or working in collaborative healthcare teams.
  • (Preferred) Ongoing involvement in medical education or research activities.
