Construction Electrician Foundation Instructor (Red Seal)

Your Role

Under general direction, the Instructor leads and contributes to student success by delivering high-quality, curriculum-based instruction. You will create a supportive, engaging, and professional learning environment that promotes student achievement and prepares learners for careers in the electrical trade.


Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Electrician Foundation Instructor, you will:

  • Deliver instruction aligned with module, program, and curriculum objectives.

  • Evaluate student performance fairly, consistently, and in accordance with College standards.

  • Support, mentor, and motivate students throughout their learning journey.

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of curriculum and instructional materials.

  • Support campus administrative functions to enhance the overall student experience.

  • Uphold College policies, professional standards, and ethical conduct.

  • Participate in College, campus, and program activities.

  • Monitor and assess students during practicum and/or clinical placements, as required.

  • Use educational technologies and multi-modal teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Red Seal Electrician Certificate of Qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Red Seal Journeyperson.

  • Adult Education credential (completed or in progress) and/or prior teaching experience preferred.

  • Meets program approval requirements for course instruction.
