Job Opportunity: Evening Receptionist (Part-Time)
Location: Vancouver Career College – Burnaby, BC
Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour
Job Summary
Vancouver Career College is seeking a professional, personable, and organized Evening Receptionist to join our Burnaby campus. As the first point of contact during our evening hours, you will play a vital role in supporting our students, faculty, and guests, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.
This is an ideal position for someone looking for consistent part-time evening hours in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Management: Greet students, visitors, and staff with a professional and friendly demeanor.

Communication: Manage the multi-line phone system, directing calls and taking detailed messages as required.

Administrative Support: Assist with data entry, filing, and document preparation to support campus operations.

Student Services: Provide basic information regarding schedules, campus resources, and upcoming events.

Campus Security: Ensure the reception area is secure and assist with evening closing procedures as needed.

Mail & Deliveries: Sort and distribute incoming mail and coordinate outgoing shipments.
Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience in a reception, customer service, or administrative role is preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Professionalism: Proven ability to handle inquiries with Discretion, patience, and a positive attitude.

Reliability: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently during evening shifts.
